Les Espioles means the “look out” or “spy tower” a name acquired during the Hundred Years War when its high elevations were used to watch the movement of the English troops from the nearby garrison. Now our beautiful site offers charming holiday accommodation, set in beautiful countryside yet within easy access of all the attractions in the Dordogne and Lot regions.
We are located in the quiet tranquility of the French countryside on top of a mountain on the edge of the pretty village of Nadaillac de Rouge. We are simultaneously within a few miles of the regions main attractionssuch as Sarlat, Rocamadour the caves of Lascaux, the castles of the Hundred Years War
Our cottages have been sympathetically converted from three farm buildings, so they retain many of their original features and reflect their origins and rustic locations with beams and stone walls throughout. However, each cottage has been equipped with the modern comforts of home and has a private terrace for alfresco eating all set in two and a half acres of gardens.
