This was the old farmhouse and whilst it is our smallest in terms of sleeping capacity, it has the advantage of a beautifully appointed kitchen with a high beamed ceiling and a large separate lounge
The kitchen offers a gas cooker/oven, a dishwasher, microwave and a fridge freezer as well as smaller electrical goods such as kettle, coffee maker and toaster along with a good selection of crockery and cooking utensils to give a home from home feel
The kitchen also has an original souillard, an overground pantry with its original stone sink,believed to be the second largest in the area, The living room has a sofa and two chairs along with a tv and both a cd and dvd player. English and french tv are available.Both the living room and kitchen have wood burners.
The upstairs has 3 bedrooms a large double, a twin room and leading from the twin room a small single. The upstairs also has a bathroom with shower sink and wc.
The Rouge gorge benefits from two terraces – one to the front of the kitchen enjoying the garden views and the second a private and partially covered terrace allowing alfresco eating whatever the weather.
The Rouge gorge may be booked with the Canard dodu to provide a sleeping capacity of 11.
A lockable internal corridor provides a link between the two houses.
